About Direct Primary Care

"Direct Primary Care (DPC) is an innovative alternative payment model for primary care being embraced by patients, physicians, employers, taxpayers and policymakers across the United States. The defining element of DPC is an enduring and trusting relationship between a patient and his or her primary care provider."
The Direct Primary Care Coalition, 2014

Can DPC lower your costs?

The DPC Coalition estimates that payer-related costs add up to 40 cents of every healthcare dollar in a practice.  Eliminating insurance from primary care, according to the coalition, "makes that 40 cents available for actual healthcare".

How is it possible to be so affordable?

Because we don't accept insurance (other than Medicare for our Medicare Concierge patients), we can afford to keep our staff and overhead down.  There is no longer a need for coders, billers and the layers of staff that go with an insurance-based primary care model.  Low overhead means low fees for you!
